Meet our Staff

passion to serve, lead and equip

Faith’s staff has a passion to serve, lead and equip our community.

Bruce Garner, Senior Pastor

Bruce has been married to Sharon for 33 years and they have two delightful daughters, Kelly and Haylee. They enjoy spending time with family and the outdoors, and try to do a mountain, river, or lake adventure when they can. He earned a degree in chemistry from the University of Michigan (but roots for Michigan State!) and a graduate degree in theology from The King’s University. They have served at Faith since 1979.

Marvin Downs, Youth Pastor

Marvin started preaching at the age of 16 years old. His heart has always been to see people delivered and set free. He served in youth ministry at Faith since he graduated from Faith High School in 2008. Marvin is also spoken word poet and speaks to youth city wide, specifically young men about purity and true manhood. His heart is to see teenagers live in freedom and to pursue their purpose!

Tara Ruff, Children’s Pastor

Tara and her husband of 13 years, Patrick, have two school aged children. They enjoy the outdoors together as a family camping, riding bikes and playing basketball. Tara has a strong passion to see children and their families grow and walk deeply in the gifts of the Spirit. She has been in ministry for 15 years and has served as a children’s pastor for the last 6 years. Tara is excited to watch as families connect together in their relationship with Christ.

Jeff Haggard, Principal of Faithway School and Faith High School

My name is Jeff Haggard and I have been a part of the Faith Family for ten years in both Faithway Christian School and Faith High School. I enjoy exploring Michigan, biking, and spending time with my wonderful wife Melody. We currently live in Clio and spend much of our free time on home improvements. I know that God is at work and will continue to pour out His amazing blessings as we continue to follow and walk in His will. Continually pray for our school throughout the year that we will have strength in and through faith, hope and love, and that everything we do, it is to God’s glory.
