Statement of Faith

The Holy Bible

We accept the Bible as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice, and the truth needed for maintaining general unity.

Fundamental Truths

We do not regard the language employed in this statement as inspired nor do we insist upon it, but we do hold the truth set forth to be essential to a full gospel ministry. No claim is made that it contains all truth in the Bible, only that it covers our present needs as to these fundamental matters.

We Believe…

  • In the full unique inspiration of the Holy Bible as the divine Word of God, the only infallible, sufficient and authoritative rule of faith and practice. (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
  • In one God, eternally existent in three persons, identified by the work of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:21-22; 1 Tim. 2:5)
  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial intercession, the bodily rapture of the true church, and His personal pre-millennial second coming in power and glory. (Luke 1:27; 2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Thess. 5:9-10; Eph. 4:10; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; Rev. 1:7; 1 Tim. 2:5)
  • In the fall of man, his moral depravity, and that repentance is commanded of God and necessary for the forgiveness of sins. (Mark 1:15; John 3:3; Romans 3:10-18)
  • That justification and regeneration are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. (Eph. 2:8; Titus 3:5-7;Romans 10:9-10)
  • In sanctification by faith through the Word and by the Holy Spirit subsequent to regeneration through faith in the blood of Christ. (1 Thess. 5:23-24; John 17:17; Romans 8:3-4)
  • In the baptism of the Holy Spirit subsequent to the new birth and that this gift is the enduement of power for a life of Christian service. (Acts 1:8)
  • In speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the normative evidence of having received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Mark 16:17; Luke 24:49; Acts 2:4, 11:14-16, 19:6)
  • In water baptism by immersion as it is commanded of all who repent and put their faith in Christ.(Acts 2:38, 10:47-48)
  • In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is able to live a holy life. (1Peter 1:15-16; 1 John 2:6; Heb. 12:1 4)
  • That it is the believer‘s privilege and responsibility to be filled with the Spirit, and to manifest the fruit of the Spirit, and to exercise the gifts of the Spirit for the edification of the church as well as the individual. (Gal. 5:13; Gal. 16:22-23; 1 Cor. 12:1-31; Rom. 12:6-8)
  • In divine healing for the body through faith in the name of Jesus and that this is part of the atonement. (Is. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; Mark 16:18; Psalm 102:2-3)
  • In the Lord‘s Supper. (1 Cor. 11:23-26; Luke 22:14-23)
  • In the resurrection of the body unto eternal life for the saved and unto eternal punishment for the wicked. (1 Cor. 1:23-24; Rev. 20:6, 11-15)
  • In security for the believer as he abides in vital fellowship with Christ. (1 John 1:7)
  • In the spiritual unity of all believers who comprise the church, the body of Christ. (Romans 12:4-5)
