Guest Services
Jim & Pat Voorheis
We are the first impression to our guests as they enter Faith Tabernacle. We provide a warm welcome to all while waiting for new guests. We answer questions about our church, our services, and our resources. We escort our guests to the auditorium, children’s ministry, the nursery, and teen classes. We connect our guests with our pastors, elders, and other church members while showing them the love of Christ. We pray with and for our guests and have a team of people who connect with them in the week (and weeks) following their visit. Please volunteer to serve our guests and church as part of the Guests Services Team. Childcare: Yes
Information Center
Mack Campbell
Helping others find out what they need to know is the primary focus of this ministry. Smiling faces and knowledgeable helpers provide information to our members about everything to do with Faith Tabernacle and its current activities. They are also the friendly voice on the phone when you call the church on Sunday mornings.

Funeral Dinner Ministry

Be a part of ministering to families in their time of bereavement. You can participate by bringing food, serving the meal or both.
Security
Mack Campbell
Our parking lot security ministry ensures a positive experience from the moment your wheels hit our pavement until you leave. Help maintain security throughout the Sunday morning service as well as special events. We provide training as you provide the service with a smile in all kinds of weather.
Caring Cooks
Dorothy Bruton
Become a “Caring Cook”. Members of our church family sometimes need a meal(s) after coming home from the hospital, or have suffered an injury, etc. You can make meals, pick something up at the deli, or purchase a gift certificate from a restaurant to provide a needed meal. We are a ministry of outreach and showing the love of Jesus.
Watchmen Prayer Group

We gather during our Sunday morning service to be prayer warriors on behalf of the congregation and for all attending with a special focus on those with responsibility in our assembly such as the workers and volunteers in the nursery, Kidz of Faith, FTYD, ushers, hospitality, security, music, teachers, and the pastoral staff. We see the power of God at work and answered prayer.

Altar Team Ministry

Participate in this vital first step in follow up for new Christians. We’ll train you to gather information that will assist in the continued follow up, as well as have you give new converts materials to help them in their new life in Christ. Ministry on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

The Choir serves as the church’s praise and worship team every Sunday, singing in 4-part harmony. The choir also sings special music several times a month as well as productions at Christmas and Easter. High School—Adults

Community Outreach
Whaley Children’s Birthday Celebrations

This is our opportunity to connect with a community of teenage male students in a structured environment and bridge our community of Faith with their community of reconciliation and recovery. The birthday celebrations are scheduled around immediate activity at the group home. Call Debra and see how you can provide a birthday for a special teen.
Food by Faith/Food Pantry

Through the Food Bank and cooperation with Love In The Name of Christ Ministry, we are able to help families with essential food and supplies. This ministry involves stocking our pantry and putting together the food orders as needed.

We serve the Greater Flint community with free clothing in coordination with Love In the Name of Christ Ministry. Come help sort, stock, and serve. We are not able to receive furniture, appliances or other household items due to limited space.
